Whati to Host 2011 Regional Tlicho Gathering

The 7^th Tlicho Annual Gathering will be held in in Whati from July 5^th, 6^th and 7^th.

 

Chief Alfonz Nitsiza says, “This will be a fun time for our children, and a time to learn and share for the parents”.   Chief Nitsiza explains that during the various sessions for parents and elders, the Community Government of Whati and Tlicho Government will be coordinating a number of fun activities for both children and teens.

 

Henry Zoe, Tlicho Government Senior Community Director, explains that there will activities for everyone, including a kids carnival, a talent show, a fishing derby, canoe races, a super bingo, and dances every night.  The best part?  Almost every competition has impressive prizes.

 

Chief Nitsiza says that Whati is busy preparing for the many visitors expected for that week, and looks to welcome all Tlicho people for the 7^th Annual Gathering.
